Six Foot Track

Let's prepare to have fun and thrive on track

Walking the Six Foot Track is not rocket science, but you will need to be prepared. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Staying safe is a great starting point, but let's also aim to also have a great time. These articles will help you prepare and pack well, understand the conditions, set helpful expectations, eat well and enjoy walking in a range of weather. The preparation and anticipation are part of the journey and can be a lot of fun as well. It will not only be helpful for this track, but it also helps set you up for a lifelong love of bushwalking.

Let us start our planning by acknowledging the Dharug and Gundungurra people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we plan to walk, and pay our respects to their Elders, past and present.
