Unbelievably fantastic walk and midweek, really quiet too. A dedicated Fire Trail most of the way and then a footpad up onto the cliff edge. A large rock platform just before the final climb up onto Thor Head. Views across to other cliffs and partly down the Grose. When I was there just before Easter 2021, all the direction signs were gone (all taken out in the massive fires of 15 months before) but I would guess the NPWS will reinstall them in due course.
In addition, although not mentioned specifically on these Walk notes do take the walk out onto Asgard Head too while you are there. Again there is a foot pad the whole way and you reach a gap in the cliffs and get a view right down the Grose Valley. Sensational!
