Their product designs from 1995-2001 are funny to look back at, even though these are the products many regard as "the good stuff"- now their design team is 10+ people, back in those days everything from Italian made boots , alpine goretex shells , the first Schoeller soft shells and the introduction of laminated pack materials was handled by one fella! Good looking kid too

Yes, I enjoyed those years very much, it's was not all about greed and how people were treated was very important, and the scale meant we all knew each other's names!

Even as a confirmed kathmandu cynic i too could be seen scuttling from their shop the other day with a ski bag, cycling top and ultracore thermals....
Why?
1.Ever tried to buy something with 'ski' written on it from a ski-shop... and you think kathmandu's prices are over the top?
2. Ever tried to buy something with 'cycle'.... same argument......; plus when something fits perfectly it's pretty rare in cycle gear.
3. When someone can make lightweight, thin thermals that moths don't eat, and lasts years, that's better than kathmandu's polyester - lycra jobbies, I'll switch.
