Just heard the sad news that David Bowie has passed away.
More to follow. :(
I will go out tomorrow and purchase his latest album Black Star

Who even knew he was ill? He's just released a new album - and a pretty decent one, by all accounts.

Someone who always had the balls to go his own way and make his own rules. A musical pioneer and genius. Truly one of a kind.

The world is a little dimmer & duller now.

Same with Lemmy, I think the older rockers were happier to have a bit of privacy, Bowies twitter was rarely more than show dates, not personal stuff.

Apart from Space Oddity and a couple of others, I didn't really enjoy his music.

But "Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence" was outstanding.

'Twas indeed.

Went to the "David Bowie Is" exhibition a few months back. I didn't enjoy the format - you had to use the audio commentary, so couldn't really talk to one another - but the material was stunning. Such a creative output.
