Tried to submit a post earlier in the Bushwalking Discussion forum, under Christmas Trips post.
When I submitted, I was given an internal server error page. On returning to the topic, I noticed my post IS there... But on the forum home page, the post before mine is listed as the last post (ie date and time and poster is listed for the post before mine)
Wonder if it was a one off?

There have been a few similar incidents of late, unfortunately.
We are planning to migrate the site to a new server some time very soon. Possibly this week, but there are sill a few issues to be finalised before the date is set in concrete. I am hoping that this will sort it out.

No worries, thanks Son Of A Beach
I wasn't complaining BTW! This is by FAR the most reliable forum I use (and I use a LOT of them), with the best moderation.
Just thought I'd post it up to help with any fault finding.
Someone else has just posted in that topic, and the "most recent" post information has been updated correctly with their post on the forum home page, and sub-forum home page too.

I've been having access problems using my Samsung 7" tablet. PC isn't on so haven't tried that.
It happened twice today (and sometimes during last week)
Curious if the server has been down or its my tablet? There are times when it leaves a bit to be desired!
Edit. Now looking at posts it's been rather quiet today so probably not my tablet.

nah everyone stopped posting so you would think it wasnt just your tablet, and it worked!

I am not getting an internal server error. It just times out after a while because the page isn't loading. This is happening several times a day.

Apache Server Port 3128. Apparently its a proxy server 'time out' error, coupled with the 'take a breath' meter and 'BS' detector. I think they're working to link the pedometer

... anyhow, it's set to auto

As far as I can tell it rights itself, the elders will know.

Must say mine has been down most of the day for the last 3 days. Seems fine in the morning then comes back late in the arvo (Im on tapatalk though). It takes a long time for it to time out though as my phone pops up with the message about half an hour after I try and log in saying it failed to connect to the server.

Is this the new server?
Coz if it is, we've taken a backward step in terms of reliability.

Yes, I believe so. There also seems to be an internal error happening more regularly as well as the proxy server error.
