Why WoJ bias at many pages?

Postby Wollemi » Fri 06 Sep, 2019 10:58 am

'Luxury camp inside Walls of Jerusalem WHA with heli access' - Why is this still a sticky on the NSW page? And I assume for the other State pages. How come the Mount Wellington/kunanyi Cable-car protest does not have a sticky? Or, at the NSW page; the proposal to significantly raise Warragamba Dam wall, or the proposal to commercialise Medlow Bath airfield with helicopter joyflights ? These two in NSW would affect the GBM WHA.

Thanks Wollemi
I have been busy posting material for the Warragamba and also Koscie Brumby issues,
At times I feel lonely, could you put up some material too?
Here are the links

Well done, John - your efforts are appreciated. I do tend to do more hands-on involvement by volunteering to do weed eradication in the Blue Mountains, upper Hawkesbury River, Colo River catchment - within WHAs, too.

You know very well that I refer to the apparent permanence of the 'Announcement' of each of the State pages which refer to WoJ proposal. You do not have a link that allows me to highlight in green - and leave at the top of the NSW page (or all pages at bushwalk.com, apparently), the environmental matters pressing before us in New South Wales. Why is one Tasmanian issue at the top of all the State pages? I am aware that this website, for which I am grateful, commenced in Tasmania.

That WoJ topic has been turned into an 'Announcement' topic. This will make it appear at the top of all forum contents pages.

You could report the topic and request that it be made a 'Sticky' topic instead. This would make it appear at the top of the page in only the forum in which it was posted and not in all forums. However, this may not be suitable for the admins, as they may think it belongs in both the 'Tasmania' and 'Bushwalking Discussion' pages (for example) and not just either/or.

(I'm not an admin here, but just providing some background on how these things work, and some guesses as to why it may have been done this way. I cannot comment on why one particular topic is given priority over another.)

They're spread across the site, should probably be pegged to the top of each state page. 'Divide and conquer' policy success is reflected in the random and disorganised opposition.
