I jsut got one in from the states
new design from black diamond
havent used it yet but looking over it , I like what I see
very strong material
five internal pockets and three external, absolutely massive lid pocket, seam sealed.
lid can be used as a bumb bag
uses their unique hipbelt design , attached to the pack by a ball joint gives a lot of flexibility, shoulderstraps attached to each other by a cable underneath so they lengthen and shorten in opposition to each other as your torso moves with your stride, ultra comfortable on the infinity pack i've already been using which is the most comfortable pack i've used for loads under 20kg.
main compartment has a lengthwise semicircular zip to open it right out with a massive pockect running most of the length
the top of the pack behind your head has been recessed in a concave shape with a stiff material to cater for the shape of your head.
black diamond havent tended to make packs this big in the past there are better packs out there that cater for heavier loads if you're carrying over 25kg, but i've found their packs ideal for the loads i carry usually up to around 15 kilos, this pack i'll be getiting up around 18 to twenty kilos so i can carry more group gear. the infinity is nearly half a kilo lighter and 60 litres if you're after something smaller. the mercury also comes in 55 and 65 litre sizes and there are models for women as well called the Onyx...
reading the good reviews on it I don't expect too many problems with it.
this pack is suggested to comfortably carry up to 23kg, upper limit 26 kg
2.2 kilos
