Alu Pole Section 10mm OD - where find one?

The ridge pole of our more than 10 year old Salewa Sierra Leone tent suffered a bit during the recent 10 day trip.

Now looking for a replacement section.

10mm outer diameter, length ideally 48cm but could also be shorter.

Where could I find one? Does anyone have anything lying around they don't need any more?

Have you contacted Salewa? Who makes the pole?

Check out Mountain Creek. They have various pole sections. I found a match for a Mtn Hardware tent. Jolly Swagman also had some.

Is it the end pole (capped) or an intermediate section? wouldn't be hard to just trim it and add a section of 10mm tube with a piece of 10mm id sleeve, the usual fix. Some tents come with a sleeve (and or spare section). I'll have a look in our pole box, don't think any of our tents have used 10mm poles but there are a lot of odd sections.

I had a similar thing happen to my Salewa. I just got a spare pole section from Bogong for around $10. They carry a good stock of bits like that.

Have found a close enuf 10mm section to sorta fix it with, works but doesn't look pretty.

Should be in Melbourne in a few weeks, will have a look at Bogong. Thx for the tip.
