TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

new Lizard GUL (which stands for Giga Ultra Light) tent which weighs in at an incredible 600g. Vaude say that to achieve this they have had to push the boundaries of current tent technologies and that the tent demonstrates their groundbreaking innovation in this area. The Lizard GUL features a carbon half-length pole of which one end is planted in the ground on a metal spike and kept under tension by the fabric – much like a windsurf sail mast – which forms the structure of the tent. The fabric is an incredible 10 denier siliconized Ripstop nylon, which is only possible to use reliably in tent construction due to the use of VAUDEs patented cold taping technology.
