TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Hilleberg at Wildearth

The heading says it all.
I don't know how recently Wildearth started selling Hilleberg gear but they certainly weren't a couple of years ago when I bought my Soulo direct from the States.
Awfully dear but I suppose that's a consequence of the falling dollar.
I paid $560.00 AUD in 2013, now cost $899.00.

Yes i saw they had hilleberg tents and had to look twice. Good if you need one asap. Ive brought heaps off wildearth and found them to be great. I recently brought some pants from them and they were to big. I sent them back offering to pay for the return postage but they said not to worry about it.

I had a look at the cost, just out of curiosity.
Moontrail has them at $665 USD .
Postage for something like that should be about $60 USD.
At today's exchange rate that is $1032, so the $899 from WildEarth is a bargain....

I think the Hilleberg bubble just burst.

Sure if you purchased one a few years ago you could sell it for a profit but if you bought one recently from overseas you would be loosing a bit of money if you tried selling it now.

These wild earth prices are fantastic. Ive seen the Soulo selling for over $1200aud equivalent atm in the UK.

Travis.

I bought an AKTO a couple of years ago on sale in the US (when the exchange was brilliant).

Hilleberg had a price rise and our dollar tanked, last year wasn't a good year to hold off on that purchase  . Never mind at least they are a quality bit of gear.

I buy mine from http://www.mountainadventurecentre.com.au they are an aussie mob from Jindabyne NSW and have been quick and easy to deal with. Not affiliated with them in any way except from being a repeat customer
