Also maybe the people on here with their own cottage industries might look at joining them. With our low Aussie dollar their gear would be very attractive.

Bugger, I just know I'm going to find something on those sites that will cause me to rethink some of the decisions I've made, but luckily haven't bought yet. The research process continues.

This is part of a post I put up on the Tier Gear facebook page which lists the Aussie cottage vendors that I know of.
Some of the local cottage makers, apart from myself,I know of for outdoor gear are:
