A new idea for sealing plastic bags

TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

A new idea for sealing plastic bags

I normally tie a knot in the tops of bags. But some may find this useful, either for walks or for storage of stuff at home...
Just got this in an email.
I would imagine that with frequent use, the plastic of the bag would deteriorate.

I haven't tried it but I suspect that the bag will very quickly wear and tear by being jammed between the threads of the cap and bottle top. Worth some testing at home though just to see how effective it might be.

My wife just started doing this, and it's good.

Depends on the thickness of the plastic and how often you open it. But it is a neat idea.
