TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Led Lenser H7....one of my new lights...with my new BD Ion

WOW..

Just bought one of these. AMAZING piece of gear.

It has everything you need in a headlight. 3 AAA batteries. Adjustable angle, adjustable beam, and adjustable power, upto a massive 170 lumens. And it is light (?80-90g). I recently bought some 200 lumen Ultrafire Cree torches from dealextreme which are the brightest cycling lights I've ever had, and only ~$15, but they use weird batteries (CR123). This Led Lenser headlight is almost as bright, but more useable. It only cost me $90 , and in Melbourne!

HOWEVER, for situations where it gets dark late at night in mid-Summer, or I am only going to be using my headlight around camp, my new Black Diamond Ion is miles brighter than my last one, and weighs almost nothing, so the Led Lenser will be tucked away.

Thanks to whomever suggested the LL on this forum - I wouldn't otherwise have found it.
