TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

camelbak bladder in the golite pinnacle

Hi, could anyone advise on the use of a 3 liter camelback bladder into the Golite Pinnacle (large). I understand there is an issue with refilling a bladder with the pinnacle, which isnt that much of a problem as I intend to refill at camp. My main concern is will it fit in the pinnacle before I go and buy the 3 liter camelbak bladder. Any comments greatly appreciated. The hot weather is comming so I need to carry more water.

I use a 3L MSR bladder in my Pinnacle and my Jam2, no problem at all! Enjoy!

Hi Quigs,

I've been using the 3L MSR hydromedary water bladder http://www.paddypallin.com.au/equipment ... ry-3l.html for about 3 years now and love it (tough and durable; wide mouth, easy to fill - you do need to take it out of the pack to re-fill it but that's no hassle; excellent bite valve/hydration tube with lapel clip - I've never had any leaks and the lapel clip allows you to keep the mouth piece where you want it).

If I need to carry extra water I use a collapsible 1 or 2L Platypus water bottle - http://cascadedesigns.com/platypus/wate ... e/product; and for wine (sometimes that's just necessary! :D)? I don't think you can go past one of these! http://cascadedesigns.com/platypus/wine ... ve/product

'Sounds like I am giving Cascade Designs a big plug (all 3 products are distributed by them), but I have no affiliation with them other than being a very satisfied customer. I find all of these products great quality, relatively lightweight and reliable - none of them have ever let me down.

Cheers,

JB

P.S. I also have the Large size in both the Pinnacle and the Jam2
