Lifesystems water treatments

Last Sunday I taken a break from hiking and took an hours train ride into the fortitude valley in Brisbane to update some of my hiking gear.
Purchased a fleece top and steripen adventurer opti at paddy Pallin.

Went into K2 Basecamp picked up some lightweight pants at a bargain price, while in the store waiting at the till to pay for my purchases I noticed some water purification chlorine tablets. One in particular caught my eye "Lifesystems Water Treatment Kit". It comes with 48 chlorine tablets and 48 neutralizing tablets to remove the chlorine smell and taste.
I don't know much about the tablets, was not aware you could purchase these tablets here in Australia as I was contemplating purchasing some from the states. The kit cost me $24.95 and will treat upto 48 litres of water.

Unfortunately upon arriving back home I left the instructions manual on my bed and someone thought it was rubbish and had thrown them away. I have no idea how to use this kit or how long to wait before I can drink the water. I did have a quick glance at the instruction sheet while at K2 and remember reading something about 3 minutes, but I'm nor sure what that is for.

Is there by any chance anyone out there that have the instructions sheet they could scan for me?

I sent a email 3 days ago and got no response. Any one have any idea how to use this product?

After doing some reading online, this particular kit is virtually useless as its a chlorine treatment, which does not treat as well as I was informed in store of purchase, from what I have read the chlorine dioxide is the kit to purchase as it treats more including virus. Now in the store I purchased from, which is one of the main outdoor store in the valley at Brisbane, I asked the question, what the difference is between the chlorine kit and the chlorine dioxide kit and was informed that there is no difference between the two. After doing some research online, I've found this is not the case. Not impressed with the advice given by so called specialist outdoors people. I've been caught out like this in the past, with these so called experts in these stores and given the wrong info.

I always foolishly believe and trust these people in these specialist outdoor stores. Not again. This is the same store that I looked into a new Aarn pack and was alarmed at just how much little knowledge they have with the Aarn Packs, they had o idea on how to setup the pack. I had to show them where each part clicks into and how to attach the front pockets. While at this store last week I had to have a little laugh in store as I watched a salesman attempting to set a Aarn pack onto a potential customer, I just shook my head. No wonder they have difficulty selling them in that store.

Paddy Pallin was the direct opposite, some of there prices where a little higher, but the expert knowledge in that store was well worth the extra cost, in the end the salesman offered me some great advice and knew what he was talking about, anything he was not sure about he took the time to find out, needless to say I purchased a fair amount of gear at Paddy Pallin. Excellent service.

Feel better now, I had my rant.

Phillip can you give the store a call. Perhaps they can scan and email the instructions to you (or at least talk you through it on the phone). Might be the quickest option. Failing that Im prob heading to the fortitude valley stores in the next week. PM me where you got them and I can check the instructions and perhaps grab a photo of them or a photocopy etc.
