TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Can anyone recommend fleece jacket/jumper that has pit zips? I'm finding plenty of jackets, but none with pit zips unfortunately.

I've seen a few fleece lined softshells but never any fleeces.

fleeces usually have very good ventilation and no need for pit zips. if its so hot, you can always take it off.
Having said that, my mountain hardwear windstopper tech jacket has big pit zips. RRP $165 but currently $70 on sale at sunny sports:

http://www.backcountry.com/the-north-face-denali-fleece-jacket-mensI seem to keep recommending you The north face and Mountain hardwear gear and seems like i'm a fan, but I'm not.
I usually dont care about brands. I just items of gear that works, I recommend. and these 2 , i would recommend. I dont usually use the pit zips tho because I dont sweat much

Cheers for those links - I will check them out.
If all else fails I guess I could get a jacket and give it to one of those tailor/mend it places in the shopping centres and get them to put pit zips in.

I have a Cabela's Polartec 300 weight fleece with pits.
I'm not sure if they have them in lighter fleeces but you could check their website.

One I did find was the Columbia Heat Elite II -
http://www.columbia.com/Men%E2%80%99s-Heat-Elite%E2%84%A2-II-Jacket/WM6692,default,pd.html but judging by the reviews it might be too warm even for Tassie.

Last month I purchased an M D Pokhara Soft Shelled Jacket with Windstopper.
It has pit zips. It is a smart looking comfortable jacket, with new technology micro grid fleece, possibly its only fault is it has a hood attached, on special for $200.
It is replacing my 18 year old faithfull M D Windstopper Jacket.

I recently purchased a Marmot "Lander" 200 weight fleece jacket, with pit zips, through Sierra Trading Post.
