TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Heads up - croc knockoffs at Big W

Thu 27 Sep, 2012 2:49 pm

HI all

Just noticed that the latest Big W catalog has Croc copies for $5 - kids, mens and womens sizes. I don't know waht the weight or quality are like but I am happy with the last pair I bought there a few years ago.
Edited to Big W - too much junk mail to process properly

I nabbed a $5 pair - bright red so I can't lose them in the night. Already used them for a creek crossing last weekend, and an early morning dewy pee :)

I bought some Crocs knock offs a few years ago. They seemed to be made from harder foam , and were narrower than my feet. For me they didn't work. If they fit, and are comfortable, then go for them.

Just a thought.

I paid a lot more for the real thing and am so glad I did.

They are extremely comfortable and fit my big foot even with some nice woollen socks on as well.

The foam is extremely comfortable underfoot and I would see no problem in using these to walk out from somewhere if my boots ever failed or went missing
