TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Is it the Fire Maple 1.5L pot you're talking about?

No Joomy, it's the 1lt FMC-XK6. I have also seen on the site a combined stove/pot/cup set for about US$68 with the 1lt pot by Fire Maple.

I was talking to corvus, and it looks like it is the pot I was talking about.

Is 1.5L really enough for most people for groups? I find 1.5 to be barely enough for 2 people, and 2.5 is much better for 3-4. Then again I eat a lot.

I ended up buying the Fire Maple 5 pot set from Ali Express for 50 bucks, which comes with a nice big 2.7ish litre pot perfect for 3-4 people IMO. Also has a 1L, 1.3L and 2L (roughly, the volumes aren't specified). I would have considered buying a 2 to 2.5L heat exchanger if they'd had one. The big question of course with heat exchangers is whether they really save you much weight. Others have done calculations but I've never been convinced that 20% less fuel is worth the extra weight penalty (of course it depends on the type of stove, the amount of cooking/boiling done, and on how much you value the faster cook times).

I have found that for most meals a 1lt pot x 2 adequate for two provided of course that you are not attempting a one pot meal and I use one for the "stew" and other for vegies/pasta /rice.
No science involved but I have found the FMC XK6 performs better than all of the others in my pot collection ,yes it is 91g heavier than my MSR 1lt Titan but it will really simmer on the FMS 100T stove I favour now so no burn't on bits on the "billy" easier to clean so winner as far as I am concerned :)
