TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. If you want an EPIRB you'll probably have to go to a marine shop.
But if you want a PLB, go to a hiking gear shop.

The Kent Street strip would probably have a decent range to choose from. Not sure how the pricing is though but you may find the same products in two or three shops and try bargaining a little.
