TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Walkabout brand Propane stove Gas fitting?

Tue 03 Jan, 2017 10:46 am

I've lost or misplaced the connecting hose for my little Walkabout brand stove. Coleman and Primus hoses do not work with this little dinosaur. Does anybody have any knowledge of the connector type and if the hoses are still around?
otherwise a good gas fitter who could change the connector to the Coleman type cheaply
Yes I could go to K-mart but if I can repair cheaper I'd prefer to do that

Gas Fitter....cheap pick one MD.
What is the issue with the Primus or Coleman fittings MD?
They come in 1/4 BSP or 3/8 BSP. All LH thread I think?
Would have thought the walkabout would have a standard gas fitting of some sort.
There is a unit at BCF called 1/4FC what ever that means. http://www.bcf.com.au/Product/Aquaknect ... rom=571612
Got a picture of the connection?

Actually I think it may be a Companion fitting, the third and less common type but with the hoses at $23- it seems almost as cheap to buy a new stove for $70-
