TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

I’d like to get a Nitecore NB10,000 Gen2 powerbank. There seem to be a lot of the original (first generation) ones around on eBay etc, but I can’t seem to find the newish Gen 2 version in Australia. This is the US site:
https://www.nitecorestore.com/Nitecore- ... b10000.htmAnyone know where to get a Gen2?

I had a look at the vapr site but can’t see the Gen2.

I have both and I'd be just as happy with the first gen. Same size, same weight, same connectors, same capacity.
The button/light design is tweaked (slightly) on the 2nd gen, but it's no big deal.
If they had changed it to a percentage readout, that would have been a worthwhile improvement.

They have gen 1 .. that is why the price is cheaper than the gen 2 price from China.
Possibly the oz distributor is getting rid of the old stock before releasing the gen 2
----------------
The gen 2 has brighter leds - more visible in sunlight.
output increased 18W -> 20W.
space between the USB ports has been reduced
ports are also marked with yellow color
button has been improved
Is that worth the price increase?

I’m not even sure how much the Gen2 costs as I can’t find one advertised, with a price, in Australia.

From the above posts ...
From China gen 2 $85 ... you will find the link to it above...
So .. prediction .. gen 2 from an Australian source will be at least $85 .. probably somewhat more.

One of the Amazon sellers of the original version has said the Gen 2 has arrived. So hopefully on sale soon.
Edit: I just noticed now available on eBay for $74.99

That seller is selling for approx same price as the Gen I and has a 99% positive feedback rating ! The way ebay works, that is a very poor rating. I normally wont buy off anyone with a rating under 99.4% so buyer beware.
Amazon au currently have a Gen1 version for $59
Here is an interesting spreadsheet someone has put together re powerbanks

Yes, the Amazon seller who has the original for $59 says the Gen 2 is/was available from 28 October - but it’s the 30th today and I can’t see it on Amazon yet. It is available on eBay now though.
Even though the original has become cheaper recently, I really want the Gen2…

Success!
Finally found the Nitecore 10,000 Gen2 for $64 on eBay (I.e. $74 with a $10 discount if paid by Afterpay).
It turns out that it has just been released in Australia in the last week or so. Anyway, my order is in.
