TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Valandre sleeping bags?

Sat 14 Dec, 2024 11:27 am

Not that I need a new sleeping bag. But for ages I have been saving to buy a Nunatak Alpine and I was dismayed to see that the one bag I think ticks my boxes of wants and needs has been DFR'd.
It seems that the Valandre La Fayette is now one of the few that are designed with a centre zipper and cut large enough to wear your down suit inside. So has anybody here ever have any experience with Valandre gear?
Also and less important they are one of the few that make down gear in XXL in an expedition cut

Well I just got a communication back from Valandre and they are not cut large enough for me and my stupid wide shoulders.
I'd fit wearing base layers but only just and definitely not while wearing Alpine climbing clothing, especially not their XXL Expedition down parka
Yes I may be dreaming but it's the dreams that keep you alive.
