TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Quick warm up anorack??

I was walking at Falls Creek last week-end wearing just my LJ top and my Goretex anorak and got seriously cold when I stopped to put on my gloves.

I need a pull-over top that is big enough to wear over my gear, Patagonia used to make one that was like a double-wide puffball jumper but it has disappeared so I guess I need to make my own.
Has any-one used the lightweight Mylar insulation sold by "Spotlight" to make warm-wear?? At $25- a linear meter I don't want to buy and then be disappointed by it's performance, also has any-one used Tyvek to make a shell as that is what I was thinking of using
