TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Boots, where to try on?

Mon 02 May, 2011 12:56 pm

Hi,

I need some new hiking boots but not a lot of choice available in Bathurst NSW. What would be the closest place with a good range of brands to try on. I got a bit interested in Inov8 waterproof boots for the light weight so would like to check them out. They may be OK for the walking I go these days. Not sold on them or anything else, I just want to try as many as I can before deciding. It's a long way from here to that area around Sydney Town Hall, anything closer?

Regards,
Ken

There is a Paddy Pallin shop in Katoomba. I think that may be the closest oudtoor specialist place to Bathurst, some of the other foot wear shops there may also have boots as well.

cheers

Lindsay

Aw, shucks, I read the title and was going to suggest "feet". Not to worry, sorry I can't offer any real help.
