TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Does anyone have any suggestions to remove mould from water bladders? Will it be the same again? Or do I put it on my Christmas wish list?

try unscented bleach.
Cold water and just a tea spoon or two of bleach.
You of course need to rinse well afterwards but it is not going to kill you...

To stop it happening in the future, store your bladders in the freezer!!!

I swear by Cloudy Ammonia for this stuff. Really cheap Home Brand from Woolies works for me. I like it better than bleach (chlorine) because it rinses away completely, no aftertaste or taint. When I store water bottles (SS), or a thermos, or a bladder, I put in a splash and a double splash of water. Shake to spread it around then leave on the shelf with confidance. Quick rinse next time I want to use the container and never any problems.
Little warning, don't sniff the stuff. The effect is a little like shoving a wire brush up you nose (not that I have ever whacked a wire brush up my nose).

Late though, if you need to put a little mechanical pressure on the mould and cannot get at it directly, try some rice with a little water and shake lots.

I'll give some of them a go, and I'll definitely buy that cleaning kit Blacksheep!
