TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Hi all,
I plan to hike to the Great Ocean Road the next week. I have taken a dove from my country (China) .
I bought 4 butane gas cartidges ( the long bottle ) from KMART today, but found it incompatible with my dove. A butane adaptor is required to convert the nozzle.
Would you please tell me where I can get the adaptor, or I can buy it from you if you don't need it.
PS. I lived in Melbourne. Thanks a lot.

Gasmate make a adapter that is available from most camping stores I've seen them in bcf and ranger. Readily available on eBay as well kovea make a good one. Though you'll struggle to get one in time for your trip. Probably easier to just buy the proper canister, one less item to carry.

I think the Gasmate adapter is advertised for around $20. You may be better off cutting your losses and buying a canister that fits directly. As noted by Maverick - you probably don't have time to wait for something from eBay, which would be cheaper.
