TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Source Universal Tap Adapter lets you refill your hydration

This might be of interest to those using Camelbaks and the like.

Filling up your hydration pack just got a little easier ... not that it necessarily needed to. The Source Universal Tap Adapter is a simple attachment that lets you refill your hydration reservoir through the drink tube rather than the opening in back. You can fill up on the go without ever taking your pack off.

I like that. It's a pain having to remove the bladder from wherever it's stashed to refill it. Particularly if it's inside a pack.

neat idea. Funny how the guy in the video is carrying a tiny hydration backpack, yet he's got an empty bottle handy. Once the 3L hydration in my pack is empty, I have a feeling that my other gear will exert pressure onto it. So using this method to fill it might not achieve enough gravity pressure to fill up a full 3L? I'm just guessing here.

I wonder how many people are going to take this up, considering its $35, and its another piece to fumble around in your pack?

I think by the time I:
- fumble around to find this piece in my pack,
- get my empty 1.5L bottle out,
- wait to fill it up,
- connect the whole thing up to the bladder
- and wait 50 seconds for 1.5L,
- repeat the last 3 steps again for my 3L bladder

Then it would have been faster to just take my bladder out and fill it..lol
But as I said, neat idea and I hope it works.
