TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

The canister is inverted in normal use! Can't see that being very effective as a blowtorch!

Oh I guess photo for illustration purpose only, some variations may occur in actual use.
Warning- Some humans will be burnt using this device and users may find the device not suitable for the purpose intended.
Where do you go looking to find these things?

That is not an error , all butane torches are designed like that.
You can also use an hiking stove with the canister inverted if it has a pre-heat tube.
(that is for below freezing use...)

I realise this. But with such a short canister this thing would have to be used practically dead vertical. Not very useful.
