TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Well guess who just had to spend their airfare money on a new fridge and freezer. maybe next year or maybe not, this depressed economy probably means no more travel for us

not all gear is cheaper in nz, thenorthface is generally more expensive than in Aus, i can only guess because it gets shipped to aus first then here? and the scale of operation here is smaller.
nzer's dont like paying more than they have to, theres one mntality with quality gear and thats you get better quality when you buy something more expensive but I think nz'ers would rather shop around for something a bit cheaper. although in auckland theres more of wanting to throw your money around if you can.
