TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Hi,

Just wondering have you been able to use the Exped yet? (I know you've only just made the decision to buy recently!) I'll be looking to upgrade early next year and am researching options.

Thanks

Hi JonnyBoy. We're still waiting for the tent to arrive but it should be here early this week. Not sure when we'll first get to use it but I can let you know what think of it when we do.

Well it arrived, but we've decided to sell it. The tent is very large and takes up a large amount of space, of course this may be seen as a desirable feature. However we've decided we would like to backpack a little more with the tent so are going to get the Venus II to replace this one.

We set it up in our house, it was very easy to do, very quick even for a first time. The quality is excellent! Materials, stitching and overall design are great. We liked it so much that it was an easy decision to order the Venus II. Even after getting a chance to test a MSR Hubba Hubba in a store (still a nice tent though).

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I'd definitely recommend the Venus III by the little I know.
