TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Camp and creek crossing footwear

Hi All

I normally use either Crocs size 48-50 XXXL or beach shoes for camp and creek crossing but are looking for something more compact than the Crocs and more cushioned than the beach shoes. I like to keep everything in my pack so as you might imagine Crocs in the XXXL size are space hogs. Been toying with Vibrams Five Fingers but sizing cuts out at 47, in fact you will be hard to spot sizing above 45/46 on many sites.

Basically after something that are easy to get on off but can be strong and grip enough for a creek crossing. Like them to weight as little as possible so around Croc weight. Some of the Keens' hybrid sandals look tempting but again large sizes are few and fair between.

Any suggestions and places to get them in the 48-49 fittings.

Cheers
