TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

'Group hanging' taken to new heights

I found this while drinking a Sunday morning coffee

Feeling friendly with your hammocking buddies?

A hammock 'tent' for 5, 8 or 12 occupants!

Then, (as you do) started to click on other things and found these little oddities

A new shovel that digs holes, saws woods, opens bottles and slays zombies!

Looks like something Bear Grylls might recommend
All they need now is a pocket version for backpacking

I actually think these look pretty handy - my son has a skill that enables him to sniff out a guyline anywhere, and manage to trip over it, or stub his toe on a stake

Does anyone know where to source these?
These hanging LED lights may work as a substitite

Gorillatorch - the blurb says you can even wrap it around your head!

Now for the sublime
I would hope no self respecting Aussie would stoop so low
Wait for it.......POWDERED BEER!
Katadyn also makes powdred red wine *gags*

Reflective guyline is a bit lighter, and multi-use ;-)

Otherwise, Kathmandu sell the latter version.

I think I looked at those - they have them at point of sale for impulse buys. A far as i could see, they only light up when the button is pressed :?
MSR make something similar - a magnetic tent light that you can move around, or you can hang from a fixed point - red or white light with 3 light functions - high, low amd strobe. About $18 a pop, so too expensive for putting on guy lines

The alternative ones I linked were $3.75 each, so a better price,

but I liked the look of the 'in-line' first ones
http://www.gizmag.com/tent-led-prevents ... hap/11378/, I just can't source the suckers!

There are also these
