TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

yeah well i wonder about fiennes now, he's doine some incredible things but since his wife died he's looking for any way possible to kep himself busy,
he wants to cross the antarctic in winter. i'll be extremely survived if he completes it let alone without loosing some parts of his anatomy to severe frostbite, there's no possibility of rescue in winter
he was doing a programme in the andes and to make it look more interesting he asked the subject of the show an amateur to jump into a crevasse while roped up. she suffered a severe chronic injury as a result.

Well he's already lost some fingers/toes to frostbites before, during his unsupported expedition to the North pole, so I guess he knows what to expect. But this time he's not alone. But you're right, he's probably in a "I could care less if I die, so I might as well do the craziest stuff" state of mind, and people surrounding him shouldn't follow him blindly in that attitude.

yes well when he got back from one expedition and the surgeon told him what it would cost to amputate his frost bitten finger/s he just went home, got out a hacksaw and did it himself....
maybe he's trying to ensure he doesnt die lying around in creature comforts alone at home....
