Three season tent sought

Bushwalking gear and paraphernalia. Electronic gadget topics (inc. GPS, PLB, chargers) belong in the 'Techno Babble' sub-forum.

TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

I bought wild magazine for the first time in 2 years. Their review says little of any use to me, no rating, no 'real world' use, nothing in there would lead me to think that it was a aorthwhile comparison.
Don't get me started on the snowshoe bit in the magazine... which basically said: 'there are things called snowshoes, you can use them in Australia' no information on the types, what footwear is suggested, where to buy them, relative costs, what to use for casyual snowshoeing, what to use for extended snowshoeing with packs, where to go with the snowshoes, safety tips on ice etc.

You get better advice on this forum than in Wild mag.

Right on the money re: Wild's present light weightness when it comes to the brief it claims to cover. It's pretty, it's green and the recogniseable continuation to Wild of old. Forums may have stolen some of it's thunder. But it's still unique comparing it to some of it's advertorial, dross competitors.
There just may not be the people about who once cased the market and supplied expert advice on things like snow shoes, who feel inclined to use Wild as their medium. Better surveys please.

Have you thought of the Tarptent Double Rainbow as well.....base weight of 1.17 kilo. True to weight...a little more with the mesh liner.

I have one of these....just as easy to pitch as the others, light, strong and kinda sexy looking. Premium tent without a ridiculous price.
