Thermarest Prolite vs. Exped Synmat UL 7

Bushwalking gear and paraphernalia. Electronic gadget topics (inc. GPS, PLB, chargers) belong in the 'Techno Babble' sub-forum.

TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Well we've bitten the bullet and taken delivery of a couple of UL9's (very luxurious as we are mature age bushwalkers) and under rigorous testing on the rough terrain of
the lounge room floor they have stood up well, no punctures so far! Compared to our old 25mm SI mats these are luxury and no heavier than the old mats, in fact
the M size for my better half is 250 grams lighter. Can't wait to give them a crack in the outdoors.

Not particularly ... it was on a ride around the lower parts of Western Australia.

Pretty typical camping ...

Not in my experience.
