TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

The Hyperlite Mountain Design Porter Backpack 3400 looks like a great pack lightweight pack for multiday hikes.
The positives include the streamlined design...I don't need a separate sleeping bag compartment, the waterproof/light weight materials and the overall weight of the pack under 1kg.
Has anyone purchased and used this pack? I am interested to know how it copes in the Australian environment and how comfortable the pack is and the laods you carried.

I walk through allot of scrub here in Qld and the packs and my clothes get hammered!

I'd be especially interested to hear from any women who have used the pack, particularly about pack fit and comfort.
