Being interested in the UL side of bushwalking, the site I read most often is backpackinglight.com. There are many others.

Whiteblaze is mainly for the Appalachian Trail but also has sub forums on other long distances hikes ie PCT, CDT

Why not just buy the TOAKS?
Do you have any links to that pot as I don't remember it
MSR never made any of them most of the MSR stuff is rebadged Seagull from Thailand or ?? Korea from memory

The MSR 2L pot was (is?) made in Thailand and I have seen references to Seagull but can't find Seagull branded Ti pots for sale.
There are still some 2L MSR 2 pot kits on Amazon.

I never found any.
You are maybe thinking to the titan 2 pots set ( 1L and 1.5L )

Because the MSR* does not have any handles.
It is a bit wider ( 17.1 cm ).
And the last reason is because i am using some MSR pots since 1992. I know the qualities of this brand. Not a good reason, i agree!


If i do not find the MSR pot, i will probably buy the 2L Snow Peak pot ( 190 gr with handles ( 186 grammes for the MSR one )).
I know that the handles are removable but i would have prefer to have a pot without the fixings of the handle.

The 2L Toaks is at 244 gr. A bit heavy and 3 handles…
( Toaks is probably making the best titanium cutlery in my opinion but not the best 2L pot!)

Yes my Amazon link was a search for MSR Titan 2 L pot, the result was MSR Titan 2 pot kit...
(I did not check the details but I do know that kit so I should have realised the mistake)
