TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Sourcing Teva Rivas - request for help

Thu 23 Nov, 2017 1:32 pm

My beloved Teva Riva shoes are no longer serviceable after 6 years use.

I have decided they are awesome because they are good for driving, casual wear, work wear, everyday walking and the bush.

Does anyone know where these can now be sourced?
I wear size 10.5US in case anyone has an unused pair just lying around in box. :D

Here is what they look like:
https://www.amazon.com/Teva-Event-Waterproof-Performance-Hiking/dp/B001RNO78K

I am finding they are not available in Aus, and either my size is not available online or they won't ship to Australia.
Like whose sales/distribution territory are they avoiding infringing? Pathetic. :x

Nope. And BTW that was one awful website. 33 slow loading screens of products and each was like peeking through a letterbox slot.
Just confirms my Web Design Principle #1: "Go straight to Search, I don't care how much you paid those useless web designers."
Finally, I found the Arrowood Riva WP https://www.thewalkingcompany.com.au/shop/arrowood-riva-wp-walnut which is pretty similar, but no size 10.5.

Get them through a forwarding company in the states.

Even that option is not viable as now I can't even find my size online.
Looks like model 4103 is no longer made so that leaves the Arrowood Riva WP or find something else in this class

I bought a pair from Paddy Pallins a coupla years ago. The mid cut version. they felt perfect in the shop but if I ever wore them for more than a coupla ks they woul start to rub like the bejezus. Gave them to the salvos in the end.

That is about the vintage of my model 4103s. Tempting offer p-hiker but postage to Melbourne may make it unfeasible. Thanks.
I am breaking in a pair of Kathmandu Sandovers.

These occupy a larger volume around the foot, so not so good for driving, but I am finding them very comfortable!
