Hmm,
To date, I have gone cheap with socks, wearing a thin pair against the skin with some kind of thicker work wear over sock. Aldi have Coolmax at $10 for 2 pair so I bought some. I have to say I am surprised how very warm these are, I expected them to be cooler than what I usually wear but I feel like my feet are swimming. They are actually dry but feel like they shouldn't be so definitely a winter sock for the NSW central tablelands IMO.
I note the blend is:
42% Cotton
37% Coolmax
10% Nylon
10% Wool
1% Other
Is this sort of blend usual?
Cotton seems a bit wrong in a hiking sock to my thinking.
