TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Tortoise, Hope this helps...
For perspective Im 5'3'' (162cm) and have the Regular length 2014 Revelation, mine measures length 191cm laid out flat, ~179cm zipped up.
With footbox cinched and the top cinched up, lying on stomach with my feet stretched out fully, I can completely cocoon myself with the quilt over my head.
Id say the Regular is about the right length for me - if I wanted to keep my head warm without needing a down hood or beanie, without curling up at all.
Cheers, kitty

Thanks, kitty. Will sleep on it! I love the cocooning thing, but I trying really hard to cut back on weight, and I often have a hoodie as my evening/bedware. I do tend to sleep curled up when it's cold, so I reckon I might nearly get away with it with a short.

My quilt arrived yesterday. This thing is awesome. So light and so fluffy, I'm stoked.

I got the revelation 800 DownTek, Long, XWide, Black Inside 20d digicam outside.

It fits perfectly over my ThermaRest Neo Air All Season, I'm keen to try it out soon, a seriously cool piece of kit, really happy with it. And a great Xmas present.

Ooo now you've got me even more excited to get mine. And it hasn't even been shipped yet!

Be sure to tell us how it goes when you use it, Imprint :)

Interesting. The first option is essentially what I ordered, however I opted for the charcoal inside and aqua on the outside. Worked out to be $225 USD which was about $275 AUD.

I'd be keen to try one but it's one of those new things that are so radical I'd never buy one without trying one first!

Latest update on the current drop that a few people on here got on was that shipping was ahead of schedule and that most of the quilts should be out by the end of the month or thereabouts. Another update will be available on or before the 29th.

Just want my damn quilt haha

I don't think so. Quilts were 'new things' and 'so radical' 5 years ago, they are pretty much passée now. Walk into a walking campsite and have a look, you will find quilts.

Not so radical, just a lightweight doona! If you're worried about drafts get a wide version (adds maybe 40 grams) and you can (probably) wrap it fully around yourself. If you're worried about lack of hood either get a down balaclava or just plan to wear a hooded jacket in cold temps.

Thanks johnstrider, as someone who rarely checks email the update is appreciated ;)

Blankets have been used for sleeping for thousands of years. If anything the idea of sleeping while confined to a bag is radical!

If anyone has ordered a quilt and has not got it yet I'd be keen to get a set of the new pad straps if someone is willing to add them to their order....The postage on their own makes it an expensive exercise. Happy to pay for them and pay the local postage once they get here if someone is willing to help me out...Would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to add them to another order from another supplier so may be in luck still but be keen to hear from anyone able to help out still...

Mickl if you already have the old straps just buy some elastic and make your own. Easy as.

Just purchased my first quilt to match a nice shiny new ProTrail :D Got the revolution -6C in a wide x long. I was going to go with regular x regular but at 178cm and I toss and turn a lot wanted something slightly bigger. At 621g it's a nice upgrade from my synthetic 0C weighing 1.2kg and takes up half my pack

does anyone use a.compression pack for these when taking out? I find the stuff sack doesnt compress it very much, took up more room than my aldi bag (although a quarter the weight)

I use a Cuben fibre roll top bag, I think Joomy or Ellobuddha or someone else does as well, just can't remember who. It works well for my EE quilt which is a 20F in regular/wide. I bought it off someone on here so if you search the forum for cuben dry bag or similar you might be able to find who made them and see if they have any more.
