TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Yes I don't need it; but.
I have a Megalite and I was going to play with some fabric and add on a short wall to make it a better winter tent.
I was and I am hesitant to experiment with a $500- tent but I'll have no such qualms about doing so with a tent that costs $155-
When it gets here I'll put it up and give people my opinion but any sewing will have to wait until well after Christmas, still things to do around the house including a chook run and coop for the New Year

DENALI
Followed by the Gates of the Arctic national park and the Brooks Range traverse
None of which are going to happen due to general lack of spare cash, general decrepitude and a really bad back these days
Nice to dream tho even if I had thought the dreams had died

Tent just arrived. Much heavier than stated.
Unpacked it and I have received the UL5 not the tent I ordered. I am just about to message Wild Earth and let them know and I'll see what happens. So I won't set it up until I hear back from them.

OK My mistake. Just off the phone with them I had both the UL3 and the UL5 in my cart and I deleted the more expensive item; for some reason the bigger and more complicated unit was cheaper and I kept the cheaper unit in my cart.
Checking out the tent and it isn't the same quality as the BD Megalite, but it is described as a 3 season shelter and therefore I shouldn't have expected it to be as strong.
Still eating breakfast so I'll set it up later today.
