TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

RE my post up the page;
I dont really have any concerns over the time frames.
However since the retailer figured the purchase was lost in transit and resent the order, I wonder if who will foot the return bill, roughly a hundred bucks, and if the return on the approx $500 second send goes astray,

I mean I want to use the retailer again....
Guess I will wait and see what my Aus Post Customer Complaints Form comes to.

just an update... 6wks later and campsaver still haven't refunded me. this is getting to be a bit of a joke.

this has finally been resolved. so just a quick timeline:
12 may - order placed
24 may - order shipped
15 june - order not yet arrived, contact campsaver to enquire
6 july - campsaver confirm order was erroneously "returned to sender" on 4 june. campsaver agree to a full refund when they receive the package.
21 july - campsaver has still not received the package, i contact australia post to find out where it is. australia post confirm the item has been lost. i fwd this to campsaver and ask them to claim on the shipping insurance and provide me a full refund.
3 september - campsaver provide full refund.
so all up it took about 4mo from when i first gave campsaver my $$ to when i got my $$ back.
from when i told campsaver the item was lost to when they refunded me it took about 6.5 weeks.
when i first paid for my order it cost US$511 and my credit card was charged AU$491 ...by the time i got a refund the exchange rate had changed and i also had to pay paypal fees so all i got back was $464
...these are the risks you take with online shopping!!!!!

Screw America, you can get most gear cheaply through Amazon with a far cheaper shipping rate. I nearly bought a MSR Hubba last week for $199 plus about $20 postage, I didn't buy because I have blown my bushwalking budget for a couple of months. Well worth checking out.

ILSWT you have lost me somewhat

are we talking about the Hubba Hubba Tents sthuges sold at a good price or something else

If it is what I am talking about when does selling on unused goods become second hand

does that mean every thing you buy from a shop becomes second hand

mate get factually correct before you post

Mate you are avoiding the bleeding obvious !! that was a really good price for that tent when it was sold and you know it (do retrospective research) and then quote!!

I noticed my thread was mentioned

, so do you think my price is unfair? If so, what should I put it as? I did mention that I was considering any reasonable offer.
Mon 12 Sep, 2011 8:43 am
No mate it's a fair price for a good tent. Just with some shoping around you can probably get them cheaper or similar online. Still, buying from the forum is often easier. So i'd say keep them as you have them, negotiable and see if you get any offers!
They are a proved and trusted tent.
