Hi folks
I will soon be in the market for a cold climate sleeping bag.
Can anyone recommend any brands and what to look out for?
I am also seeking links to product reviews on this topic.

How cold are you talking about, there's cold and cold?
If you're talking -7 to -12 there are quite a few good bags around.
We have two good ones in the house, Western Mountaineering Ultralite (-7) and Marmot Plasma (-9).
Both are good solid bags and weigh much the same at 850-900g.
These days you shouldn't need to have a -7 to -10 bag weighing any more than 900g.
There's a big array of bags out there though, so enjoy the hunt.

Spot on Roysta - WM and Marmot would have to be the two best mainstream down bag brands surely.

Most of the better brands produce some good bags (e.g. Mountain Hardwear, Rab) and also some smaller, almost cottage manufacturers have repute. But I agree those two brands are probably the most sure-fire.
