thanks moondog! been meaning to get one of these.
saw a paris sled in the US for $30, but it was going to cost $150 to ship here. The cost of shipping these things from the US is prohibitive.
I think USPS also raised their prices up sharply this year. I just had a 2kg tent within america from Utah to california, and it costed $37! Dont know how long campsaver can keep up their "free shipping to australia" offer running.

Strider I'm willing to bet some "Bubba" has a website devoted to it.
Shame they don't also import the plain black ones as the camouflage ones are 10% more expensive.
Yes USPS is very inefficient and we too noticed the increase in rates, especially when it goes above 900grams ( 2 lbs )
This is so much cheaper than making a fibreglass and resin sled or importing one myself.
Talking to exert sledders in Canada they say to stick to the narrow sled and if you need more capacity just daisy-chain 2 or more sleds together

Moondog,
Is shipping much cheaper if you order 2 or 3 sleds together and spread the costs? You might get a few takers for a pulk on here if you ask (including myself).

Well I got a quote from ParisSleds, 10 pack of the smallest sled was $560- ( $56 each as too small a batch for a bigger discount ) then %680 shipping via DHL, then you need to add the GST and then any applicable excise ( not sure if there us any ) so those camo ones are cheap.
Too big to qualify for the parcel rate, need to come as air cargo which apparently attracts a much higher rate. not heavy but quite bulky
Saw some on ebay with similar costs
