I've been interested in this stove for a while. I own a Manotauk Gnat and a remote cannister stainless Firemaple stove which I paid $35 for.

The cheaper design remote cannister stove seems to be ok. Anyway, the lighter titanium FMS-117T is now AU$$57 on ebay so I bought one. This is down from over $100 a couple of months back. I figured this was worthy of a mention as this is cheap for probably the only remote cannister stove under 100g on the market. Add 10g for a bic lighter...

The FMS 118 has a preheat tube & is made of stainless steel, coming in at a svelte 146grams
or you could combine the best features of both models.....

Voila...the Frankenstove.
Preheat tube from the FMS 118 & the titanium legs/pot support from the FMS 117t.......118gms
A straight forward switch & swap.
Both models have good simmer adjustment & a fuel sucking blow torch mode.
With a wide burner head, more suited to wider based pots than the tall, narrow & skinny.
