Skins for ski touring

I know that this is a bushwalking forum, bushwalkers in southern Oz seem to tend towards ski touring type activities historically.

I'm after some new skins for my skis. Most use will be on Bogong going up, rather than along. Previously used 2 different types, inc snake skis" which had side straps which adversely affected edge grip, and also glue on mohair, which were OK. Current skis are a lot wider than these skins (80mm cf 50mm), so I'm looking to upgrade. Also looking to buy online, but the few sites I've looked at onions ship to Oz (maybe skis are like thermarests?).

Any help appreciated.

Keep an eye on the www.ski.com.au classifieds section.

Look locally - www.thecornicestore.com.au or www.wildernesssports.com.au or http://www.rhythmsnowsports.com.au/ all stock skins.

Or try telemark-pyrenees.com

Modern skins rock.

See if you can get an edge trimmer as well.
