Hey all,

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on Sea to Summits sleeping bags if any of you lovely people use them? I am currently looking at the Traverse XTI series on Hiking.com as they are on sale! Yippee! So, any feedback on these bad boys would be great, also, do any of you happen to know the length for STS bags? I can't find out what would be better for me (193cm). I would love a regular, as they are $100 more bank friendly, however I am unfortunately used to having to buy the larger sized things.

I have the Alpine II, it fits me perfectly (175cm). It is light and very warm. My sister has the Traverse and is very happy with it. You would need to check the lengths of the bag, I suspect it may be a little short for you. Better still, go to a store that stocks them and get in one!

Been doing a lot of research into bags myself, STS bags size regular made to sleep a maximum body length of 185cm. At your height I wouldn't consider anything other than a long.

I have a Micro 2,
I sleep hot, so I enjoy the drawcord opening at the foot so my feet can hang out, I also have a sea to summit thermolite reactor as a liner if it is to cold. My old sleeping bag was 20 years old & always too hot, so I did a lot of investigation before purchasing the Micro 2, main features were size, weight, foot drawcord, compression bag, zip bag for storage & laundry bag. I purchased it at a discounted price from P P.

I had a look at that one. It's pretty nifty too, I am a warm sleeper too, and with a exped down mat that may be the go.. Thanks for the input!

Pm Stu... he had one recently. Dont think he cared for it much.

Like most STS gear, it does the job, but it's usually pretty tacky.

I've ended up getting a One Planet Bungle. For a few reasons,

a.) It's One Planet, sheesh!

b.) I actually fit into a regular!

c.) It was on sale on hiking.com!

i just spent half an hour deciding which sleeping bag to get and then found out the extra 10% off is only for sale items..... doh! it was also a bungle, did you manage to get a deal on yours?? if not the prices seem pretty normal so i might just wait until i get closer to needing it.

It was usually $370, but I got it for $340 with a sale. They have run out though, so it'll be 4 weeks before I get it though, as the One Planet factory has run out of shells for it. Le sigh.

So, as it turns out there would be further issues with getting the sleeping bag I first wanted, so I got my second choice instead. STS Trek II. I also got a few extra goodies from the price difference and the stuffing around I went through, so that's a bonus! Plus, gotta love the black and orange colour scheme

I will do a review on this after I have taken it out for a test run! Just from looking at it though, it fits the bill perfectly!
