TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

So. you're shopping for gear. you see gear on sale and it says "last seasons colour" so they are discounting it because its not the "in fashion colour for this season..."
so what would you buy?
personally i go for whatever brighter colours are there mainly for safety reasons not because i like looking like the Wiggles

I have never really noticed bushwalking gear being advertised in seasonal colours, probably because my gear tends to be muted colours, black, brown or green. My pack and tent are light grey. I would not like standing out in eye watering fluro.

Yes, absolutely. I want to attract the right sort of man in the bush, so I need to be wearing a sexy, seasonally coloured outfit. We then make love down by the firelight. Pics later.

Nothing better than seeing a dapper gent when out for a stroll in the bush.

He's not a Pole, he's Romanian. The purple tinge is from the good thrashing I gave him with my riding crop..

Mud colour is always a safe bet - goes with everything else after a good long walk in the rain

I never got the idea of wearing colors based on the current season...
I grew up wearing cargos, polos, and army boots when I went hiking. Its not about looking good, its about where you are, and being as far away from society and its idiotic way of thinking for a while.
Then again, where profit can be made...

some kiwi trampers were waiting for a transport at teh end of a tramp in NZ... some americans came along, and said to them, you must be kiwis"
"how did you know ?" they replied
the americans replied "no colour coordination with your gear"
