Just received this ultralight tent. Will put it up tonight or tomorrow.

Have had one of these for about 8 months now, we call it the Tardis. It looks tiny from outside but inside it's big. I'm 6'3" and have tons of room inside and it weighs bugger all.

The first time you put it up it will be a bit wonky but after a bit of practise you'll have it up before most people have their poles ready. I also have a Synmat which slides all over the silnylon floor, so used some http://www.permatex.com.au/_products/Au ... -1355.aspx

brushed on in lines along the mattress and it stops it slipping around. The same stuff can be used for seam sealing the tent if you didn't get the sealer from six moon. Just brush it into the seams with an artists brush, the permatex is available from any good auto shop.

Being a single layer tent you will get some condensation but the ventilation is so good it's not a big problem.

Put it up at home, bit of fiddling but works out well...should be ok with more field practice.
As for the mat slipping on the floor I asked the SMD folks to do the seam seal on floor thing...I opted for professional seam.seal.

Looking forward to setting it up at The Prom, Cleve Cole, Macalister Springs, & other interesting.spots.

It's got a good amount of space for me, considering I'm 175 tall my head does not hit the suds at all. I use a 4ft mat & pack to support my lower legs. Condensation inside was light & does not drip or run into tent floor. My hiking pole was its pole. Good space for 1 but 2 would really be at a pinch. 8 stakes used.

A Couple of suggestions if you don't mind...
I think that the beak is guyed out too close to the floor. Looks to me that the front peg should be further away
(that should give you a taut beak/vestibule)
Always set up with the tent zipped up .
Not a big deal but when you roll up the door , start from the bottom corner and roll tight towards the tie loop .
BTW, camping close to water is asking for condensation but we all like to do that .
I carry a Chux inside my shelters...
