TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Terra Rosa Gear

I would like to give a big bouquet to Evan at Terra Rosa Gear. I recently purchased a tarp from him, his service/communication was excellent. The standard of his work is first rate. The Tarp was at least half the cost or purchasing one from a retail outlet.

If you want purchase "made in Australia" bushwalking gear I highly recommend Terra Rosa Gear.

Totally agree Norts.
I've used a couple of Evan's items (my review of one of his tarps here: http://fatcanyoners.org/bush-guide/terr ... ring-tarp/) and found them to be great quality and very innovative. Since then I've actually done a two day canyoning trip with him, so can also vouch for him being a top bloke.
The great things about Terra Rosa Gear are: 1) price, his products are incredibly cheap; 2) innovative, you can tell they've been designed by a genuinely experienced bushwalker; 3) materials, he makes many items with tyvek, which is a cheap, light and impressive fabric that none of the big commercial manufacturers use; 4) customisable, you can outline exactly what you want, tweaking his designs or asking for something specific for you; 5) personal service, the guy you talk to is the same guy who makes the gear and fixes it if there's a problem.

I can also vouch for Evan. I met Evan on my last trip into Sydney a couple years ago. His a great bloke. And will sort out any issues you may have with his gear.

Ditto :-)
Ive had two tarps, canvas gaiters and numerous custom inners made and tent mods done by Evan and he's absolutely fantastic. Willing to customise exactly to your specs and is always on par or cheaper than o/s (his tarps are amazing value and craftsmanship). I've also had the pleasure of his company on a hammocking trip and he's genuinely one of the nicest guys you'll meet (with a wickedly wonderful sense of humour). Im currently thinking up my next project for him as I type.

Double thumbs up from me!

Thanks everyone. I am humbled.

I cannot express how much it means to me to.

I have been very busy with the gear and the Alaska expedition planning and I have not been as active as I would like to be around here.

With out a doubt the best part of T.R.G. is the great folks who I get to meet, go adventuring with, share the campfire stories, and just generally yarn about things with.

Thanks,
Evan
